COURSE OVERLOADS and PERMITS
All Georgia Tech courses are capped at a certain numbers of students. Course overload is a permission to register for a course that is full.
How may I request an overload or a permit for an ENGL class?
LCC does NOT issue overloads for ENGL 1101 or 1102. Please choose from among the available seats for these classes. Graduating seniors may contact andrew.cooper@lcc.gatech.edu if they have not yet taken one of these courses.
How may I request an overload or a permit for an LCC class?
LCC will issue overloads only to STAC and CM majors and graduating seniors during phase 1. These students may request overloads and permits for LCC courses on the OSCAR override request system. LCC will begin considering permit requests Monday, November 9th. Permit requests will be considered each Monday and Thursday until registration ends. Students from other majors may submit overload requests during the January phase of registration.
How often are overload and permit requests processed?
Overloads and permits requests for LCC courses will be updated twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays during the registration period. LCC does NOT issue overloads for ENGL 1101 or 1102.
