Diane Gromala is exploring
a new realm that she terms "biomorphic typography." Her fonts, such as
Excretia, respond, in real-time, to Gromala's bodily output, as measured
by EEG, ECG, EMG, EOG, and PSG signals. Rather than one uniquely drawn
typeface, biomorphoic fonts are postmodern pastiches of many fonts, and
reside in the research realm of Tangible and Ambient Media. Contact: Diane Gromala |
