Welcome

I'm a researcher in Digital Media, especially Interactive Digital Narrative, at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I'm also an artist and sometimes a car mechanic. My areas of interest center around new expressive forms using digital technology. This includes new forms of narrative and interactive art pieces and installations.

At Georgia Tech's LCC department I've founded and led the Advanced Stories Group which developed ASAPS, an open and extendable system for Interactive Narrative. I also work as the Video Coordinator for the department and have taught video production for several years. I love to teach and was nominated for Georgia Tech's TA award.

For 2009/2010 I was awarded the Ivan Allan College Dean's fellowship and I have completed my PhD in Digital Media in summer 2010 with a thesis “Reframing Interactive Digital Narrative: An Inclusive Open-Ended Iterative Process for Research And Practice”.

In Fall 2010 I'm teaching 4720 Interactive Narrative. I was also awarded the "Class of 1969 Teaching Scholarship".
